I'm so excited to share the photos from an inspiration shoot holds a very, very special place in our hearts today. Why the love-fest? Let me count the ways.

This was our very first shoot under Lily & Oak and we focused on expressing what we stand for as a brand. Our goal was to capture that timeless Southern feel and especially to express those little intimate moments that a bride and groom shares on their wedding day where it's just the two of them. That's really special to us. You know, those moments where you're just swept up into your own little love story. Where you can't believe how freaking lucky you are to have met this other person. We strive to capture that.

So many talented vendors poured their creativity and passion into this project. We may be biased, but North Carolina has some of the most creative wedding professionals in the business and we love collaborating with them on our couples' wedding days and on inspiration projects like this shoot.

Oh, one last thing made this day especially memorable in our eyes. Our intimate moments shoot was one day after one of my very favorite intimate moments ever... the day Alex asked me to be his wife!!

Seriously, every time I look at the gorgeous photos from the shoot, I smile thinking back to how we were able to channel all our "cloud nine" energy into setting up all sorts of vignettes and scenes. Each one expressing Lily & Oak's message of centering the wedding day around love, sweet love.

Don't our model couple (who are married in real life) and their pup Bentley make the cutest little family? Fun fact: Sarah, our bride, also owns Pie Crust Creative and created all of the paper goods for our shoot. Talk about multi-talented!

Okay, I'm done gushing (for now at least)! Here are some of the stunning photos by Six Foot Photography. If you want more where that came from, and you know you do, skip on over to our feature on Joy Wed
