Our Contest Winners Are...

Hiring a wedding planner isn't always on everyone's mind when planning their big day. Putting together the details for your event is one of those things that you really underestimate until you're knee deep in invite addresses, you're struggling to meet deadlines at work, dinner isn't cooking itself, and you still think you can get in shape to look good in those honeymoon pictures.

Kirkland and Mike's Cotton Room Brunch Wedding

Kirkland and Mike's Durham daytime bash has us completely and totally obsessed with brunch weddings. We so enjoyed working with this fun-loving, sweet couple and we especially commend them as the majority of their wedding planning was done very long distance as Mike was stationed in the Middle East. Through many a Facetime and Skype date, they planned all of the intimate details together and the result was a wedding that was the perfect reflection of them.

Megan and Nico's Fairytale Merrimon-Wynne Wedding

A real life fairytale wedding is hard to come by. You know, the type of wedding where the bride and groom are so spectacularly in love? Where the reception hall is turned into something straight out of a Disney movie? Where a horse drawn carriage whisks the happy couple away? Sounds dreamy, right?

All of the above perfectly describes Megan and Nico's dream-come-true wedding day.

Morgan and Rob's Elegant Richmond Wedding

Morgan and Rob are some of our dearest friends and we are honored to have been a part of bringing their wedding day to life. Years ago, Morgan was moving to Raleigh from Richmond and looking for a roommate. I had a room open in our little post-college rental house and a friend of a friend suggested that we meet.

Clark and Cara's Classic Merrimon-Wynne Wedding

Cara and Clark’s wedding in Raleigh in June was such a beautiful and special celebration and we were honored to be a part of it! From the beginning, they were an amazing couple to work with and had some of the most beautiful and classic details incorporated in their big day.  The couple both attended UNC Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels!) and paid homage to their Alma Mater with touches of the traditional ‘Carolina Blue’ throughout the day.  From Cara’s gorgeous Carolina Blue Badgley Mishka heels to the custom Tar Heel themed corn hole boards, the couple was able to include connections to the school and state where their love story began.  Being in the South, the couple stuck to tradition by burying a bottle of Woodford Reserve bourbon to help keep the rain away. Luckily, the rain was no where in sight and the day couldn’t have been more perfect!
